I tried installing .Net 1.1 (and the patch) and it worked, allowing me to successfully install and run MSN Messenger. However, I received a warning that .Net 1.1 was incompatible with Vista, so I uninstalled all the programs even though it seemed to work ok as I was concerned it was having an 'unseen' effect on Vista...
Does anyone know what the incompatibility actually is?

.Net 1.1 Compatibility
Have you installed the latest Service Pack for .NET 1.1, maybe it will fix it. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

Yes, Even the fix said there were compatibility issues.
